What's New

The latest features and improvements in NABA, newest first.

Your gig calendar opens on the month view now — and you can change that

Someone opening your public calendar link sees when you’re playing straight away, and you decide which view they land on.

Events & Gigs

  • Your public gig calendar now opens on the month view, so a fan following your link sees your dates at a glance instead of scrolling a column of photos. Calendars you already have have moved over too.
  • You choose what visitors see first — the month view, photo cards, or a plain list — under Look in your calendar’s settings. Whatever you pick applies both to your public link and to the calendar embedded on your own site.
  • Visitors can still switch between the three views themselves. Your choice only decides where they start.

Tidier rosters, sharper setlists, and figures you can hide

Removing someone from the band now tells you what it costs before you do it, the Add Songs panel warns you about repeats, and your dashboard can keep money off the screen.

Events & Gigs

  • Removing someone from a band is reachable again. The menu on each roster row now opens in Safari and Firefox — it never did — and the band’s Members tab has the same remove action the roster does, instead of none at all.
  • Before you remove anyone, Naba shows you what it affects: how many of the band’s upcoming gigs they’re on, which ones, and that their past gigs stay exactly as they are. You decide whether to clear them from those upcoming gigs, and your history is never touched either way.
  • Clearing someone off several gigs at once now sends them one notice with the count, rather than a separate card per gig.
  • Adding a bandmate to a gig no longer makes them accept an invite when you already share a band with them. They’re on the gig straight away, and still told about it.

Setlists

  • Drag a song out of the Add Songs panel and it lands exactly where you dropped it, instead of at the bottom of the set.
  • The Add Songs panel now marks songs already in the setlist and names the set they’re in, so you can catch a repeat before you play one. Curly and straight apostrophes no longer count as different songs.
  • Adding a song you already have to a band’s repertoire is no longer reported as a failure — Naba tells you it’s already there and carries on with the other bands you picked. A genuine failure now leaves the Add button ready to try again.

Earnings

  • Your dashboard has a toggle that hides every money figure on the page at once, and hides them again on its own after a minute. Handy when the laptop is open at the venue.

Platform

  • Choosing which part of a photo stays in frame now happens in a dialog showing the whole picture, rather than on the already-cropped thumbnail — where the spot you tapped wasn’t the spot you got. The point you pick is finally honoured on your public page’s hero image, its photo grid, and your calendar tiles.
  • You can set which instruments each band member plays straight from the Members tab, without going somewhere else to change it.
  • Deleting your account now sticks. A page still open in another tab could quietly recreate the account seconds after it was deleted; it can’t any more, and deliberately signing up again afterwards still works normally.

Your band gets a page of its own

Build a proper artist profile — bio, photos, genres, songs, videos, and who’s in the band — then publish it at one link you can hand to a booker.

Platform

  • A band team now opens on a profile builder instead of a details tab. Bio, location, genres, what kind of act you are, photos, links, pricing, and your calendar each get their own step, with a dashboard showing what’s done and what’s left. Renaming the team, its photo, and the rest of the admin moved to the team’s Settings page.
  • Finish the essentials and you can publish, which gives the band a public page: hero photo, bio, songs, videos, the roster, your repertoire, and your upcoming shows. One link, instead of pointing a booker at three different social accounts.
  • The link is yours. Naba picks a sensible one the first time you publish, and you can change it later to something more memorable — the Profile step shows the exact URL people will see, and warns you while it’s still the generic fallback.
  • A preview tab shows the real public page, built from the same data a visitor gets, so what you check before publishing is what they’ll actually see.
  • Published profiles can be found in search by default, with a switch to opt out if you’d rather the page only reach the people you send it to.
  • If a venue has already added your band to their calendar, there may be a page for you already. It’s clearly marked as venue-provided and kept out of search until someone claims it. Claim it from the page itself — if your band already has a profile, the two merge, and the link the venue shared keeps working.
  • Wrong band, or a page you’d rather not have? There’s a removal request on the page, answered directly when we can confirm you’re the act and reviewed by a person otherwise.
  • Naba links finally preview properly. Paste one into a text or a social post and you get the Naba mark, the real page title, and a line describing the page — instead of a purple circle reading “Best app the worlds ever seen”. Availability links go furthest: the preview names the band, the venue, and the dates you’re asking about, so a booker knows what they’re opening.
  • New for Charleston: livemusicchs.com lists live music around the city — tonight, this weekend, by genre, and by neighbourhood — with every venue and band on it linking back to their page here.

Events & Gigs

  • Your public page lists your upcoming shows in the band’s own time zone, so a late-night gig shows the night it’s actually on, wherever the person reading it happens to be.
  • The team page’s Members tab was five separate cards — band members, the call list, owners, pending invites — each with its own search box. It’s now one roster: everyone in a single list, chips to narrow it down, a badge on each person showing what they are to the band, and one menu per row to change it.
  • Adding someone works the same way everywhere now. Search once across your contacts and Naba users by name, email, or phone; choose whether they join the band, the call list, or become an owner; set their roles; and invite them to Naba in the same pass. Nobody matches? Create the contact right there without losing your place.
  • Removing someone waits a few seconds before it commits, with an Undo — so a mis-tap costs you nothing and never fires an invite or a notification you didn’t mean.
  • You choose which band members appear on the public page. Registered members are shown by default and contacts are hidden, since a contact never agreed to be listed anywhere.

Setlists

  • Songs on your profile can come straight from your repertoire — pick what you’ve already got and the artwork and details come with it — or paste a link to a track you’ve released.
  • Songs and videos stay dark until someone presses play. Nothing is requested from YouTube, Vimeo, or anywhere else until a visitor actually asks for it, so the page loads fast and doesn’t hand your visitors to a third party just for showing up.

Answer invites from the notification, and book with the band attached

Accept or decline an invitation straight from your notifications, and get the right band — and the right pay — on every event booked from an availability request.

Events & Gigs

  • Booking a date from an availability request now attaches the band to the event, not just its name. Before, the event was titled after the band but had no band on it, so nobody was added and the gig never reached anyone else’s calendar.
  • That booked event also arrives with the pay already filled in, carried over from your last gig with the same band at the same venue — and the same room, when the venue has rooms. It’s the same figure you’d have seen creating the event by hand.

Platform

  • Accept or decline an event invitation right from the notification, the way team invites already worked — no trip to the event page first.
  • Notification links now open the right thing. A link about a single gig goes straight to that gig, and a notification whose event or request has since been deleted tells you so instead of dead-ending on an empty page.
  • Four kinds of notification that the iOS app already sent, but the website quietly ignored, now show up in your web notifications with the right wording.
  • Your privacy preferences now actually save when you change them — the switches used to move but the change was dropped on the way to the server, and a failed save said nothing. Sharing your information with third parties stays switched off; the rest start on, and every one of them is yours to change any time from Profile → Privacy.
  • Fixed a bug where the Teams page reloaded itself in the background several times a second, and stopped the app from reporting an error to anyone who simply hasn’t connected a Google Calendar.

Event timelines stay in time order

Events & Gigs

  • An event timeline on the web now always reads top to bottom in time order. Adding an entry drops it straight into the right spot instead of landing at the bottom, and changing an entry’s time moves its card immediately — no need to close and reopen the event to see the real order.
  • The same goes for the gig view, the printable version, and the timeline you email to your band, so everyone reads the day in the order it actually happens.
  • If you’ve arranged a timeline by hand in the iOS app, that arrangement is still yours and stays put in the app — the web just shows those same entries in time order.

Share your gig calendar — and post about it

Publish your upcoming shows at your own link, turn them into a ready-to-post image in a few clicks, and find answers faster with a new FAQ page.

Events & Gigs

  • You can now publish a public calendar of your upcoming gigs at your own link, so fans, venues, and bookers can see where you’re playing without you sending anyone a list. Build one from the new Promotion section of the menu: name it, pick which of your bands appear on it, set its colors, logo, and background image, add a message plus your contact and social links, then share the link or embed the calendar on your own site.
  • You decide whether that page turns up in search results — it stays out of them unless you switch search listing on.
  • Every event now has an owner-only switch for whether it shows on your public calendars. New events are included by default, and anything still marked tentative is never shown publicly, so nothing goes out before it’s confirmed.
  • Gigs on your public calendar lead with the venue’s photo where we have one and fall back to your band photo, so the page reads at a glance instead of as a list of dates.
  • A new Social Posts screen, also under Promotion, turns those gigs into something you can post: pick the days you want to promote, uncheck any gig you’d rather leave off, and download a finished image of the rest. Add band-name labels when the poster covers more than one band, use a calendar’s logo or upload your own, and know that the preview on screen is exactly the image you’ll get.

Demos

  • You can skip the guided tour whenever you like — and if you skip it and later change your mind, you can start it again from Settings → Account Settings.

Earnings

  • Event financials worksheets are now dated by the day the gig actually happened rather than the day the worksheet was created, so worksheet lists and approval emails line up with your calendar.

Platform

  • A new FAQ page answers the questions we get asked most — getting started, availability and scheduling, calendar invites, and who can see your contacts and venues. You’ll find it in the main menu.
  • Emails from Naba — invites, approvals, event changes, and the rest — now match the look of the app, so they’re easier to scan and easier to spot in a crowded inbox.

A notification inbox for everything happening on NABA

A new bell and inbox bring your updates into one place, guided demos now end where you actually want to go, and the homepage got a cleaner look.

Platform

  • A new notification bell and inbox (`/notifications`) bring availability requests, event changes, team invites, and more into one place — grouped by day, with quick filters for Requests, Team, and Events. Opening the inbox doesn’t clear your unread count on its own; it clears once you’ve actually acted on something, so you never lose track of what still needs a response.
  • Team invites can be accepted or declined right from a notification card — no need to track down the invite elsewhere.
  • Our homepage and venue landing page have a cleaner, calmer look — flat warm surfaces in place of the old glow effects — with the same "Keep booking personal" pitch.

Demos

  • Finish a guided demo — the core app, CRM, or venue portal — and the exit button now takes you where you actually want to go: straight to your dashboard if you’re already signed in, or to sign-up if you’re not.

A warmer NABA — new look, faster pages

NABA has a brand-new look — warm, editorial, and easier to read — and the app is noticeably quicker, especially your calendar.

Platform

  • NABA has been redesigned end to end: a warm cream-and-terracotta palette, a new typeface set, and cleaner cards and tabs across every screen — dashboard, events, teams, setlists, money, and more. Everything works exactly as it did; it just reads better and feels calmer to spend time in.
  • Dark mode was redrawn from scratch to match, so late-night gig prep is easier on the eyes.
  • Pages load faster across the board — the app now sends less data over the wire and defers heavy pieces (like PDF viewers) until you actually need them.

Events & Gigs

  • The calendar opens noticeably faster. It now loads only what a month view actually needs, pulls your Google Calendar in a single request instead of many, and fetches an event’s full details the moment you open it.
  • Team photos on your calendar tiles now load as fast, lightweight thumbnails and are pre-warmed as the page opens — so a photo-filled month paints almost instantly instead of filling in tile by tile.
  • Your public venue calendar pages load faster for the people you share them with.

A sharper gig calendar — photo events, team load-in times, and smarter scheduling

Your gigs now look like your gigs: photo-first calendar tiles, a load-in time you set once per team, faster ways to add people, and a scheduling picker that keeps your event length intact.

Events & Gigs

  • Your NABA gigs now show up on the calendar as photo tiles — your team’s photo, the venue name, the event, and the time — so a busy month reads at a glance instead of as a wall of look-alike blocks.
  • Set a default load-in time once per team — say 1h 30m before the gig — and NABA suggests it automatically on every new event for that team, and shows it consistently on the calendar, in your emails, and in calendar invites.
  • Adding someone to a gig who isn’t in your list yet? A quick “Create contact” or “Invite bandmate” shortcut now appears right there, prefilled with the name or email you just typed — no need to leave and start over.
  • Duplicating a gig now brings the whole lineup with it — every person, with their roles, individual pay, and who was published — so recreating a recurring show is a single step instead of rebuilding the roster by hand.

Platform

  • The date-and-time picker is smarter: change a gig’s start and the end moves with it to keep the same length, and end times now stay on the right day instead of landing before the start.
  • Events on the same day now hold a stable order on the calendar, so editing one no longer reshuffles the rest.

  • Give each person on a gig their role — Vocals, Guitar, Drums, Sound Engineer, and dozens more — with up to six per person, so everyone knows exactly what they’re playing.
  • Roles now show up right inside the Google Calendar invite, next to each name, so your bandmates can see the whole lineup without opening NABA.
  • Add a whole team to a gig and NABA fills in everyone’s roles for you — using each person’s team defaults, their profile roles, or what they most often play on that team.
  • Build a call list of subs and extras for a team — people who aren’t full members — and give them default roles so they’re ready to drop into a gig.

  • Add your instruments and roles to your profile and drag them into the order you want, with your main role first — NABA remembers them and suggests them automatically wherever you’re added.

  • See at a glance whether each invited guest has accepted or declined, along with when they responded; a decline automatically switches their invite back off.

More control over availability requests — plus a Safari quote fix

Turn down individual dates on an availability request, skip the phone field, see gigs booked at the right time, and open quotes reliably in Safari.

Events & Gigs

  • When someone asks for your availability, you can now decline individual dates while keeping the rest open for booking — and undo a decline if you change your mind.
  • Booking a date from an availability request now schedules the gig at the correct local time, no matter where our servers run.
  • Phone number is now optional when requesting availability or sending an availability link — only a name is required.
  • The availability notification badge now clears once every requested date has been booked or declined, so it no longer lingers on requests you have already handled.

Earnings

  • Total pay for an event now saves the moment you enter it, so the “Split Evenly” and per-member pay tools work right away — no need to save and reopen the event first.

CRM

  • Fixed an issue where clicking a quote — by its title or the "View PDF" button — did nothing in Safari. Quotes and their PDFs now open every time, on every browser.
  • The same fix applies to opening PDF quotes and file attachments from a deal, so those open dependably in Safari too.
  • Pipeline stage colors now show reliably on the CRM dashboard’s pipeline bar and legend.

Platform

  • Event financials worksheet lists now load in pages, so they stay fast even when you have a lot of worksheets.

Clearer availability conflicts and a new comparison

Availability sharing again shows your bandmates' busy times, and a new homepage section shows how naba stacks up.

Events & Gigs

  • Fixed the availability view so it once again shows your teammates' existing commitments — making it easy to spot scheduling conflicts before you lock in a date.

Platform

  • A new "How naba compares" section on our homepage puts naba side-by-side with other band tools — highlighting the things only naba does, like per-player Google Calendar gig details and client song requests.

Smoother sign-up and easier event tabs

A more reliable first-time setup and a clearer way to move between the tabs on an event.

  • Fixed a rare issue where finishing sign-up — especially right after accepting a band invite — could fail with an unexpected error. Getting started is now smooth and reliable.

  • The tabs across the top of an event (Overview, Setlists, Financials, and more) now show subtle arrows when there's more to scroll to, and glide more smoothly on phones and tablets.

Smarter contracts, easier onboarding

Less busywork around contracts, a simpler way to bring bandmates on board, and hands-on help whenever you want it.

CRM

  • Send contracts for signature and let NABA automatically remind signers who haven't finished yet — no more manual nudging.
  • Get a confirmation the moment a contract is fully signed, and renew or re-send a contract in a single click.
  • Expired contracts are now clearly flagged so nothing slips through the cracks.
  • Intake forms can send an automatic, personalized reply when someone submits — drop in merge fields like their name so every response feels hand-written.
